Warranty Sync only picks up a device when the short name of its manufacturer matches one of the values below. This page lists every accepted spelling and where that value comes from.

How Matching Works
The manufacturer of a Hardware Asset is a Company record, and that Company carries the short name. Warranty Sync reads the short name from there and compares it against a fixed list. Upper and lower case do not matter and surrounding spaces are ignored, but the value itself must be one of the listed spellings.
A short name that is close but not on the list – for example Dell Computer or Lenovo Deutschland – is not recognised. The device is skipped without an error message.

Imported Assets
Assets created by an import carry whatever manufacturer name the source system reported, and that is rarely one of the values above. After an import, check the short name of the Company records used as manufacturers before starting a sync – this is the most common reason a sync returns nothing.
The short name is maintained once per Company. Correcting it there fixes every asset of that manufacturer at once – you never edit it per asset.
