A Company record is used for every organization relevant to Asset Management: your own locations' owning entities, Manufacturers, and Vendors all use the same Company entity.

Overview
A single Company can be referenced from a Hardware Asset as its owning Company, its Manufacturer, and/or its Vendor at the same time — there is only one Company list to maintain.
Core Fields
- Name
- Description
- Short Name – used to build a Model's Display Name together with the Model Number.
- Icon and Content Type (max. 5 MB).
Manufacturer and Vendor Flags
Is Manufacturer and Is Vendor are independent switches on the same Company record — a Company can be a manufacturer, a vendor, both, or neither.
Address
- Street
- City
- State
- Postal Code
Asset Manager
A Company can have an Asset Manager (a single User) or an Asset Manager Group (a Group) responsible for its assets.
Country
A Company links to one Country record.
Cost Center
Used for billing assets back to the right Cost Center.
Locations
A Company can be linked to one or more Locations.
