Status describes the lifecycle state of a Hardware Asset — for example whether it is currently in use, on stock, or retired. Statuses are freely defined master data, not a hardcoded list.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Overview
Every Hardware Asset can be linked to one Status. You can add, rename or remove Statuses to fit your own asset lifecycle.
Fields
Both Name and Description are required fields when creating or updating a Status via the API.
- Name
- Description
Default Statuses
au2mator ships with the following Statuses pre-seeded out of the box:
- In Use
- Ordered
- In Delivery
- Retired
- On Stock
Usage
Use Statuses to filter and report on your Hardware Assets — for example to find everything that is still On Stock and not yet assigned, or everything that is Retired and can be removed from Billing.
