Introduction
A Billing Rule defines a Price for Assets matching a Scope (Model, Category, Company and/or Location) and a Date Range. When a Billing Run executes, every matching active Asset gets a Charge Record for this Rule.
Fields
- Name / Description
- Identify the Rule.
- Model / Category / Company / Location
- Optional Scope filters — leave empty to match every Asset.
- Allowed Status
- Optionally restrict the Rule to Assets with one of the selected Statuses.
- Billing Cycle
- How often this Rule is charged (for example Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly).
- Price Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly + Currency
- The Price for each supported Cycle, in the configured Currency.
- Charge Target Type
- Whether the Charge is billed to the Asset's Company, Location or Cost Center.
- Is Showback Only
- Showback Rules appear in reports but are never actually invoiced.
- Is Active
- Inactive Rules are ignored by future Billing Runs.
- Valid From / Valid To
- The Date Range this Rule applies in.
