Introduction

A Charge Record is the actual billed amount for one Asset under one Billing Rule for one Period. Charge Records are the output of a Billing Run, and are what the My Billing views are built from.



Fields

  • Asset / Rule
    • Which Asset was charged, and under which Billing Rule.


  • Price Snapshot / Price Override
    • The Price at the time of charging, and an optional manually corrected Price. The Effective Price is the Override if set, otherwise the Snapshot.


  • Currency Snapshot
    • The Currency at the time of charging.


  • Target Type Snapshot
    • Whether this was charged to a Company, Location or Cost Center.


  • Charged To Cost Center / Location / Company
    • The exact target this Charge was billed to.


  • Period Start / Period End
    • The billed Period.


  • Is Showback
    • Set when the underlying Rule was Showback Only.


  • Is Active
    • Deactivated Charge Records are excluded from reports.


  • Modification Reason / Notes
    • Free text kept whenever a Charge Record is manually corrected.


  • Modified At / Modified By
    • Audit trail for manual corrections.
