TABLE OF CONTENTS

Introduction

My Billing is the self-service view for a Company, Location or Cost Center to see their own Billing — without needing Asset Admin or Asset Editor access.

Summary

  • Timeline
    • A list of previous and upcoming Billing Periods for this Entity.

  • Charged YTD
    • The Total already charged this Year, grouped by Currency.

  • Forecast Remaining Year
    • The estimated Total for the rest of the Year.

  • Total Year Estimate
    • Charged YTD plus the Forecast.

Period Detail

Drill into any single Period to see every Billing Rule that applied, its Billing Cycle, whether it was Showback, the Total Amount, and the full list of Assets it was charged for (with Serial, Category and per-Asset Amount).

Who Can See My Billing

My Billing shows only what you are responsible for. An entity appears when you are recorded as its Asset Manager – either as a User directly, or through a Group you belong to.

Three kinds of entity can be managed this way:

  • Cost Centers
  • Companies
  • Locations

Authorisation is re-checked on every request, not only when the list of entities is built. Asking for an entity you do not manage returns nothing rather than someone else’s figures.

Showback and Chargeback

A Billing Rule can be marked as Showback only. Showback makes a cost visible without actually charging it.

That distinction runs through the whole page:

  • Showback entries do appear in the Timeline, marked as Showback.
  • They are excluded from Charged YTD.
  • They are excluded from the Forecast and the Total Year Estimate.

Showback is the usual way to introduce chargeback. Run new Rules as Showback first so departments can see what they would be charged, then switch them over once the figures are agreed.
