A Room is the most granular physical place in Asset Management, always belonging to exactly one Location. Rooms can be marked as Stock Places and are where Users and Hardware Assets can be positioned.

Overview

Rooms let you track assets and users at a more precise level than just the Location they belong to.

Stock Place

The Is Stock Place switch marks a Room as a stock/storage room rather than a room where people sit — useful for warehouses or IT storage rooms holding unassigned Hardware Assets.

Asset Manager

A Room can have its own Asset Manager (User) or Asset Manager Group (Group), independent of the parent Location's Asset Manager.

Location

Every Room belongs to exactly one Location.
