Introduction

A Column Definition is a custom field you define for one of your Asset Management tables, for example an additional Field on your Configuration Item. Column Definitions are grouped by Category, so every Hardware Asset of that Category shares the same custom Fields.

Fields

• Table Name
  • The internal Table this Column belongs to.

• Default Label
  • The Label shown when no Translation is available for the current Language.

• Is Required
  • Toggle if this Field must be filled out.

• Data Type
  • The Data Type of this Column (for example Text, Number, Date).

Translations

Every Column Definition can have a Label Translation per Language, so every Requester sees the Field Label in their own Language instead of only the Default Label.
